There are many ways to contribute your time to our organization. We appreciate all of our current volunteers and welcome those interested in volunteering. Contact us with any questions that are not answered below!
All Potential and Returning Coaches: Thanks for attending the clinic outlined below on January 6th!!Please contact Steve Ball if you are interested in coaching but were NOT able to attend and DID NOT talk with Steve prior to Jan 6th.
Maitland Little League will be holding a MANDATORY Coaches clinic on January 6, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Keller Fields.
All volunteers MUST print/complete/submit a volunteer application, located on the MLL Website along with a clear copy of your current drives license in order to allow us to run background check. Failure to provide proper documentation will result in you not being allowed to help with the players as a coach or volunteer at MLL this Spring.
Sincerely, Steve Ball – President Maitland Little League
CONCESSION STAND PLANS FOR 2012 SPRING SEASON:
On behalf of the Maitland Little League board I would personally like to thank everyone that volunteered this past fall in the concession stand. Because of all of your hard work we had a profitable season. With that being said, we are going to keep the concession stand for the league to run with our dedicated volunteers.
I have recruited some help this spring – thank you to Joy Johnson and Susanne Earnest for volunteering to help me with the nightly duties. But it will take much more than just the three of us to make this another successful season. As soon as I get the list of coaches and team moms I will be sending out an email to them letting them know the plan and schedule for the season. As soon as the team schedules come out we will have a better idea of which team will be working what weeks. As always if there is a better night for you please let me know and we will try to accommodate schedule conflicts.
Just a reminder of some rules that we will have in place for the spring. We will try to keep it to only 2 people per shift – it gets way to crowded if there are more than that. Also no one under the age of 14 will be allowed in the concession stand as well, if you have high school students that need volunteer hours – please have them bring their forms and we will be more than happy to sign off on the hours worked. We have to many hot machines for the younger kids to be in the stand.
On behalf of the Concession stand committee we thank you in advance for all the time and effort put in by all the families of Maitland Little League.
Look forward to seeing in February at the Opening Day ceremonies…….
- Michele Allison, Concession Stand Director 2012 Spring season
TEAM MOMS: Welcome to Spring 2012!
Thanks for thinking about volunteering to be a Team Mom!!
(Its fun and you can put it on your resume one day!)
Below are some of the thoughts as we move into the 2012 of possible duties for Team Moms!!
A. Help your Team Manager/Coaches!! example: Team Rosters are nice to put up, so all the players can be called by name ( A nice poster board with names and players #’s so everyone can see it from the stands.)
B. Brag…Boast…. We hope to have up and running, your own team web page. You hopefully will be able to post stats, photos, pitch counts, and maybe even share that your player got an “A”on their last test score!! We are hoping to make this password protected for your team only, so if you have family out of state or relatives that just can not make a game, they can read it all on the website page. MORE INFO TO COME ON WEB PAGES SHORTLY.
C. Concession Stand Contribution…this year we may be organizing all the families involved in participating in working in the snack stand. This is still in the planning phases within the MLL Board of Directors.
